Home Remedies for Cystitis


What is Cystitis?

Cystitis is inflammation Woman holds her stomach due to interstitial cystitis painof the bladder. Among the most common cystitis causes is bacterial infection. In this condition one often gets UTI (Urinary Tract Infections). With cystitis, you may experience painful urination, urge to urinate, cloudy and foul smelling urine.

Natural Home Remedies for Cystitis

Take barley gruel (half glass) and mix it in buttermilk. To this mixture add juice of half lime. It is a good diuretic and valuable for treating cystitis naturally. Consume two times per day.

  • A useful cystitis home remedy, cucumber juice is effective as a diuretic. In one glass of cucumber juice, stir honey (one teaspoon) and lime juice (one tablespoon). Drink this preparation thrice daily to achieve relief from symptoms of cystitis.
  • Juice (one teaspoon) extracted from drumstick flowers should be added to coconut water (half glass). Consume this juice two times a day as it acts as diuretic and helps in natural cystitis treatment.
  • Extract fresh spinach juice (half glass) and mix equal amount of coconut water.  It is a beneficial home remedy for cystitis. Drink two times daily.
  • Natural treatment for cystitis can be initiated by drinking a cup of juice extracted from radish leaves once daily in the morning.
  • Cystitis home remedy includes lady fingers. Prepare a decoction from a handful of lady fingers boiled in water (glassful). Drink two times a day as this will aid in healing cystitis.
  • Consume five drops sandalwood oil (initially). Increase this gradually to ten, fifteen drops. To make this remedy more effective you can add carom seeds (one teaspoon) to a glass of water. This is among effective home remedies for cystitis.
  • Cystitis can lead to burning sensation and bleeding. Use this remedy to ease such symptoms. Add lemon juice (one teaspoon) to a quantity of one glass boiling water. After cooling, drink one mouthful of this preparation every two hours and complete it before noontime.

Diet for Cystitis

If you have cystitis but fever is absent, consume raw vegetable juice at an interval of two hours. Eat ripe fruits thrice daily for the next three days.

At the end of three days your diet for cystitis will now include grains, seeds, nuts, vegetables and fruits. You should take foods that do not contain any salt.
