Home Remedies for Dandruff

What is Dandruff?

Dandruff is the dead skin Exposure to rough weather and other health factors may lead to dandruff causescells that your scalp sheds. As new skin cells form, old skin cells that reside on top layer of your skin flake and fall off.

This is a normal skin process.  In some people this process is accelerated and the flaking of dead skin is unusually in large amounts which results in dandruff.

Dry climate, excessive perspiration, skin disease such as eczema, dry skin, using shampoo and skin sensitivity are some of the causes of dandruff.

Natural Home Remedies for Dandruff

You can use simple and effective remedies for getting rid of your dandruff. Some of the remedies can also aid to a good extent in treating dandruff naturally too.

  • A massage to your scalp with a preparation made by mixing lime juice and vinegar (equal parts) is also a helpful dandruff home remedy. Follow this with an egg shampoo hair wash.
  • Put some fenugreek seeds in water and leave overnight. The following morning, grind the soaked fenugreek into fine paste. Apply paste on your scalp and leave for forty minutes. After which you perform a mild shampoo wash. This is among beneficial home remedies for dandruff.
  • Snake gourd juice can be used effectively for dandruff natural treatment. Apply some juice and gently rub over your scalp for two to three minutes. You can add fresh beet juice to make it work more effectively.
  • Another dandruff natural home remedy is curd. Apply curd on your hair and scalp. After application, leave it for about an hour and wash off thoroughly with water. This will help in natural treatment of dandruff symptoms and also add shine to your hair.
  • Neem leaves can be used as effective dandruff home remedies. Boil a handful of neem leaves to an amount of small bucketful of water. When the water is lukewarm rinse your hair with it. This is also one of the best dandruff natural remedies.
  • Add two teaspoons of Indian gooseberry powder to a handful of holy basil leaves. Prepare a paste and massage your scalp with it. Let the paste remain for thirty minutes. Use plain water to wash your hair. This remedy can aid in natural dandruff treatment.

With proper care, dandruff is a very treatable condition. You should try to avoid getting stressed as it is also among causes of dandruff.
