What Is Varicose Veins?

This condition is progressive and lack or absence of treatment may lead to complications such as bleeding, itching or leg ulcers.

  • Enlarged veins (visible)
  • Leg pain
  • A feeling of fullness in the legs

  • Taking hot hip bath and then following it up with cold hip bath alternately can prove beneficial for those with varicose veins.
  • Reflexology is also said to significantly bring about a reduction in varicose veins suffering, especially in pregnant women.
  • Horse chestnut contains aescin, a compound that prevents capillary wall damage and thus helps in treating varicose veins patients.

Making some changes in your diet is very helpful in varicose veins treatments. For this, avoid eating potatoes, condiments, starchy foods, strong tea, coffee or white sugar when you have varicose veins.
